A spiral-tastic baby blanket! Alternating between stockinette stitch and simple fishnet lace, this blanket grows in the form of a logarhythmic spiral, or "spira mirabilis." Spirals like these occur in nature as the arms of cyclones, the paths of hawks to their prey and moths to light bulbs, and even in the nerves in our eyes.

Skills required:

Knitting in the round, yarn-over, knit 2 together, disappearing loop cast-on, provisional cast on, and grafting.

About 565 yds (520 m) of worsted weight yarn (pictured in Lorna's Laces Shepherd Worsted - superwash wool) - easily adaptable to different yarns and weights.

5 double-pointed needles and one circular needle, size 9 (5.5mm). 4 stitch markers.

PDF Pattern will be available for download immediately after purchase.
