Here are the standard abbreviations I use in my knitting patterns, along with some links to online tutorials and resources.
k - knit
p - purl
sl - slip

i-cord - a knitted tube made without turning. Knit one row, slide all stitches to the other end of the needle, bring yarn behind work, and knit the stitches again. Tutorial here from the Purl Bee.

CO - cast on.
backwards loop cast-on: tutorial here from Knitty.

yo - yarn over - tutorial here from KnitPicks.
m1L - using the needle in your left hand, pick up the stitch two bumps below the one just worked and knit it - tutorial here from Knotions.
m1R - using the needle in your right hand, pick up the stitch one bump below the next stitch and knit it - tutorial here from Knotions.
k2tog - knit 2 together
k3tog - knit 3 together
ssk- slip 2 stitches separately as if to knit, then knit these 2 stitches together - tutorial here from the Purl Bee.
sssk - slip 3 stitches separately as if to knit, then knit these 3 stitches together.
sl2-k1-p2sso - Slip 2 stitches together as if to knit 2 together. Knit the next stitch. Pass the 2 slipped stitches over the knit stitch - tutorial here by me.
